කලාභූමියේ පාඨමාලා
අප ආයතනය මඟින් සංගීතය, නර්තනය, සහ නාට්‍ය හා රංග කලාව යන විෂයන් සඳහා පාඨමාලා රාශියක් පැවැත්වෙන අතර ඒවා විවිධ මට්ටම් වල අපේක්ෂා වලට ගැලපෙන සේ සකසා ඇත.
සංගීතය පිලිබඳ වෘත්තීය සුදුසුකම් අපේක්ෂාවෙන් ඉගෙනුමේ නියැලෙන අය වෙනුවෙන් අපි බටහිර සංගීතය සහ පෙරදිග සංගීතය සඳහා වෙන් වෙන් ව විෂය ධාරා දෙකක් පවත්වාගෙන යන්නෙමු.
මේ අතුරින් පෙරදිග සංගීත විෂය ධාරාව ඉන්දියාවේ ලක්නව්‍ හී ඉමහත් ගෞරවයට පාත්‍ර වූ 'භාත්ඛන්ඩේ සංගීත විද්‍යාපීඨය' මඟින් පිරිනැමෙන 'විශාරද' සහ 'නිපුන්' උපාධි සඳහා වන විභාග ඉලක්ක කොටගෙන පැවැත්වේ. ඉන්දියාවේ ආයතන රාශියක් අතුරෙන් භාත්ඛන්ඩේ විද්‍යාපීඨය ඉපැරණි, හොඳින් ස්ථාපිත වූ සහ පිළිගැනීමට ලක් වූ ආයතනයක් ලෙස තවමත් ඉදිරියෙන් සිටී. එම විද්‍යාපීඨය මඟින් පවත්වනු ලබන විභාග ඉලක්ක කොටගත් පාඨමාලා පැවැත්වීමට අමතරව එකී විද්‍යාපීඨය ට අනුබද්ධිත විභාග මධ්‍යස්ථානයක් ලෙස අපි අපගේ සිසු සිසුවියන් ට අප ආයතනයේදී ම එම විභාග සඳහා පෙනී සිටීමටත් අප විසින් ගෙන්වනු ලබන එම විද්‍යාපීඨයේ පරීක්ෂකයින් ඉදිරියේ ප්‍රායෝගික ඇගයීම් වලට ලක් වීමටත් අවස්තාව ලබා දෙන්නෙමු.
බටහිර සංගීත විෂය ධාරාව පවත්වාගෙන යනුයේ ලන්ඩනයේ ත්‍රිත්ව සහ රාජකීය විද්‍යායතන මඟින් පැවැත්වෙන ලෝපතල විභාග ඉලක්ක කොටගනිමිනි. මේ විභාග වාදන ශිල්පී පටන් සංගීත ආචාර්ය දක්වා මට්ටම් කිහිපයක් ම සඳහා ශාස්ත්‍රීය සහ ප්‍රායෝගික කරුණු ආවරණය කරමින් පැවැත්වේ.
පාසල් විෂය නිර්දේශය පාදක කොටගෙන පැවැත්වෙන විෂය ධාරාව වෙසෙසින් ම සකස් වී ඇත්තේ සාමාන්‍ය පෙළ සහ උසස් පෙළ විභාග සඳහා සංගීත විෂය (පෙරදිග සහ බටහිර) හදාරන දරු දැරියන් ට අවශ්‍ය අත්වැලක් ලෙස ය. උසස් පෙළ සඳහා 'නාට්‍ය හා රංග කලාව' හදාරන සිසුන් ට ද විෂය නිර්දේශ පාඨමාලාවක් අපි පවත්වාගෙන යන්නෙමු.
මීට අමතරව විනෝදාංශයක් ලෙස හෝ වෙනත් අරමුණු සඳහා හෝ, ගායනය හෝ වාදනය හෝ හැදෑරීමට කැමති ආධුනිකයින් සඳහා ද අප ආයතනයේ පන්ති පැවැත්වේ. වැඩිහිටියන් සඳහා ද අපි ආධුනික පාඨමාලා පවත්වන්නෙමු.
තම දරුවන් වෘත්තීය ලෙස හෝ විනෝදාංශයක් ලෙස හෝ සංගීතය, නර්තනය, හෝ වෙනයම් හෝ ප්‍රසාංගික කලාවක් කෙරෙහි උනන්දු කරවීමට අදහස් කරන දෙගුරුන් ට තම දරුවන් ගේ මුල් පාසල් අවධියේම එසේ කරන ලෙස අපි දිරිමත් කරන්නෙමු. එවිට දරුවා ඊට අවශ්‍ය කැපවීම සඳහා මානසිකව සහ අධ්‍යාත්මික ව සූදානම් වනු ඇත. එමගින් දරුවා තුල එකී කලාවන් පිලිබඳ ගැඹුරු උනන්දුවක් ඇති වී පහසුවෙන් විෂය කරුණු අවබෝධ කරගත හැකිවේ.
වෘත්තීය ලෙස හෝ විනෝදාංශයක් ලෙස හෝ ප්‍රසාංගික කලාවන් හැදෑරීමට අදහස් කරන අනේක දරු දැරියන් වෙත අපි යමක් පැවසීමට කැමැත්තෙමු. අපි සිදුකරනුයේ හුදෙක් පාඨමාලාවක් පවත්වාගෙන යාම පමණක් නොවේ. අපි අවස්ථාව ලබාදෙනුයේ විනයගරුක, කාරුණික, සහ මෙත් සිතැති පුරවැසියන් බිහිවීමට අවශ්‍ය සංස්කෘතික සහ සමාජ පුරුෂාර්ථ සිත් තුල පැලපදියම් වන ආකාරයේ භාවමය අත්විඳීමක් සඳහා ය. අප ආයතනයේ නිර්මාතෘ ආචාර්ය රෝහණ වීරසිංහයන් ගේ වචන වලින් ම කියතොත් 'කලාභූමිය ඇපකැප වී සිටිනුයේ වර්තමාන අධ්‍යාපනික ක්‍රියාවලිය තුල ඉසිලිය නොහැකි තරම් වූ බරක් දරමින් ඉමහත් ආතතියකට ලක් වී සිටින දරු දැරියන් ගේ සිත් තුල අස්වැසිල්ලක් ඈති වන සෞන්දර්යාත්මක නිමේශයක් අත්විඳීමට ඔවුනට ඉඩ සැලසීම සඳහා ය'.
Courses Available at Kalabhumi:
We offer a range of courses in music, dancing, and drama & theatre to suit different levels of accomplishment and aspirations.
For those who wish to take up studies for the purpose of acquiring professional qualifications in music, we offer two programmes, one in western music and one in oriental music.
The oriental programme leads to the prestigious Visharad and Nipun degrees awarded by the highly acclaimed “Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapiet” of Lucknow, India. Among a large number of institutions that offer studies in music in India, The Bhatkhande Vidyapiet still reigns as one of the oldest and a well established institution carrying wide recognition. In addition to offering courses that leads to its examinations, we are an affiliated examination center of the Bhatkhande Vidyapiet which enables us to provide our students the opportunity to sit for their examinations at our institution itself and undergo practical assessments in front of examiners we directly host from the college.
The western programme prepares students for the world renowned examinations conducted by Trinity College of London and Royal School of Music of London. These exams cover both theory and practical aspects and lead to several levels from performer to teacher.
The school syllabus programmes are offered for the benefit of students who are in need of tuition for the subject of music (both western and oriental) for the General Certificate of Education both Ordinary and Advanced Levels. School syllabus programme is available for students taking up the subject 'Drama & Theatre" for Advanced Level.
In addition, our institution conducts classes for beginners who wish to learn singing or playing instruments as a pastime or for any other purpose. We also conduct beginners' classes for adults.
Parents who wish to stir interest in their children towards a career or pastime in music or dancing or other form of performing art are encouraged to do so from their early school days. This would prepare the child mentally and spiritually for the commitment that will have to be invested. It will instill a deep liking in them to these noble arts and cultivate the necessary skills to an extent that would help them pick up easily. We offer courses for adult beginners as well.
To the large number of youngsters who are aspiring to study performing arts either as a pastime or professionally, we wish to say that we are not merely offering a course of study. What we offer is a rich, structured learning experience that would inculcate cultural and social values in them and make them disciplined, considerate, and magnanimous citizens. To quote the words of our Director, Dr. Rohana Weerasinghe, “Kalabhumi is dedicated towards the end of affording today’s youngster burdened with a heavy academic workload and immersed in tension, a sense of relief by offering a glimpse of aesthetics”
