නිරවද්‍ය ගායනා අභ්‍යාස පාඨමාලාවේ සහතික පිරිනැමීමේ උත්සවය
ආචාර්ය රෝහණ වීරසිංහ විසින් පවත්වන ලද 'නිරවද්‍ය ගායනා අභ්‍යාස පාඨමාලාව' හැදෑරීම අවසන් කල පළමුවන කණ්ඩායමට සහතික ප්‍රදානය කිරීමේ උත්සවය සැප්තැම්බර් 24 වන ඉරිදා කලාභුමියේ දී පැවැත්වුනි.
මේ ප්‍රායෝගික පාඨමාලාව මාස හයක කාලයක් මුළුල්ලේ සතිඅන්ත වල පැවැත්වුණු අතර සිසුන් 13 දෙනෙක් ඊට සහභාගී වුහ.
දිවයිනේ ප්‍රමුඛතම තනු නිර්මාපකයා ලෙස ප්‍රවීණ ගායන ශිල්පීන් හා ශිල්පිනියන් සැමටම පාහේ වසර 50 කට ආසන්න කාලයක් ගී තනු නිර්මාණය කොට එකී ගීත වල සංගීතය අධ්‍යක්ෂණය කිරීම තුලින් රැස් කරගත් අත්දැකීම් සාගරය අනුසාරයෙන් නිවැරදි ලෙස තම කටහඬ ශික්ෂණය කරගන්නා ආකාරය පිලිබඳ වටිනා මාර්ගෝපදේශ සමුදායක් රෝහණ වීරසිංහයන් වෙතින් ලබාගැනීමට මේ සිසු කණ්ඩායමට අවස්තාව ලැබුණි.
පුහුණුව අවසානයේ රෝහණ වීරසිංහයන් විසින් නිර්මාණය කරන ලද තමන් කැමති ගීතයක් ගායනා කොට එය තැටිගත කරගැනීම සඳහා සෑම සිසුවකුටම අවස්ථාව ලබා දෙන ලද අතර එකී ගීත අඩංගු සංයුක්ත තැටියක් ඔවුන් සැම වෙත තිලිණ කෙරිණි.
උත්සව අවස්ථාවට සිසුන් විසින් තැටිගත කෙරුණු ගීත සජීවී ලෙස ගායනා කෙරෙන ප්‍රසංගයක් ද ඇතුලත් විය.
මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගී වුනු ගායන ශිල්පිනී ප්‍රදීපා ධර්මදාස, ගේය පද රචක කුලරත්න ආරියවංශ, වසන්ත කුමාර කොබවක, බන්දුල නානායක්කාරවසම්, නාට්‍යවේදිනී අමා විජේසේකර, සහ සේයාරූ ශිල්පි හා ගායක දයාන් විතාරණ යන අය සහතික ලාභීන් දිරිමත් කරමින් තම අදහස් දැක්වූහ.
දෙවන කණ්ඩායම සඳහා පාඨමාලාව ඔක්තෝබර් 8 වන දා ආරම්භ කිරීමට කටයුතු සුදානම් කර ඇති අතර ඒ සඳහා සිසුන් තෝරාගැනීමේ ප්‍රායෝගික හඬ පරීක්ෂණය ඔක්තෝබර් 1 වන දා කලාභුමියේදී පවත්වනු ලැබේ.

Certificate Award Ceremony of the ‘Systematic Voice Training Course’
The Certificate Award Ceremony for the first group of students who completed the ‘Systematic Voice Training Course’ conducted by Dr. Rohana Weerasinghe was held on Sunday, 24th September at Kalabhumi.
This practical course was held in the weekends over a continuous period of six months and 13 students followed the course.
As the premier melody composer in the island, drawing on the wealth of experience gathered over a period of nearly 50 years by composing and directing music for almost all leading singers, Dr. Rohana Weerasinghe imparted to the students, a collection of valuable guidelines on training their voices.
On completion of the course, each student was given the opportunity to select a song composed by Dr. Weerasinghe and to make a recording of a cover version of that song. A CD containing all these cover versions were presented to all students.
The ceremony included a live performance of the cover songs by all the students.
Singer, Pradeepa Dharmadasa, Lyricists Wasantha Kumara Kobawaka, Kularatne Ariyasansha, Bandula nanayakkarawasam, Dramatist Ama Wijesekara, and Singer/photographer Dayan Witharana, who were present at the occasion expressed views encouraging the certificate recipients.
The course for the 2nd batch is scheduled to commence on 8th October and the auditions for selecting students will be held on 1st October at Kalabhumi.
