කලාභුමියේ සමාරම්භක අධ්‍යක්ෂ වරයකු මෙන් ම එහි ජෙය්ෂ්ඨ ආචාර්යවරයකු ද වන ලක්ෂ්මන් විජේසේකරයන් තමාගේම යු ටියුබ් නාලිකාව 2021 නව වසර හා සමගාමී ව අරඹා ඇත.
තම මුහුණුපොත් පිටුවේ සටහනක් තබමින් ලක්ෂ්මන් විජේසේකරයන් ගේ දියණිය සහ කලාභුමියේ ආදියකු මෙන් ම ගරු උපදේශිකාවක් ද වන අමා ශාක්‍යා කැටිපෙආරච්චි පවසනුයේ මෙම නාලිකාව ඇරඹීම බොහෝ කලක සිට අදහස් කරගෙන සිටි කටයුත්තක් බව ය.
ප්‍රවීණ සංගීත අධ්‍යක්ෂ වරයකු, ගායකයකු, සහ නළුවකු ද වන ලක්ෂ්මන් විජේසේකරයන්, 70 දශකයේ අග භාගයේ පටන් ම සංගීත ගුරුවරයකු ලෙස සේවයේ නියැලෙන අතරතුර ම ගුවන් විදුලි සංස්ථාවේ විශිෂ්ඨ ශ්‍රේණියේ ගායකයකු ලෙසත් සංගීත තනු නිර්මාපකයකු ලෙසත් ක්‍රියාකාරී ලෙස ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ නියැලෙමින් එදා මෙදා තුර ගායනා කල ගීත අතුරින් 'ඇයි තරහින්', 'දෑත දේපා ලන ගිගිරි සරින්', 'ඔබ මට තරුවකි', 'සඳ කිණිති නැමී', 'මේ ප්‍රේම සීමා මාලකයේ', 'ඇති දේ ඇති සැටියෙන්' වැනි ගී සංගීත ලෝලීන් අතර අතිශයින් ජනප්‍රිය විය. රුපවාහිනි සංස්ථාවේ ආරම්භක අවධියේ විකාශය වූ ජනප්‍රිය 'ගායනා' ළමා ගී වැඩ සටහන තුලින් ඉමිහිරි ළමා ගී රැසක් ළමා ප්‍රේක්ෂකයින් වෙත තිලිණ කිරීමට ද ඔහු සමත් විය. 'රේඛා' ටෙලිවෘතාන්තය තුලින් ගායකයකුට අමතර ව නළුවකු ලෙස ද රසික හදවත් තුල නොමැකෙන සටහනක් තැබූ විජේසේකරයන් 'බුමුතුරුණු', 'මවකගේ ගීතය', 'ස්වර්ණ තිසරාවී' ඇතුලු ටෙලිනාට්‍ය රැසක සංගීතය අධ්‍යක්ෂණය තුලින් සිය ප්‍රතිභාව මැනවින් ප්‍රදර්ශනය කොට තිබේ.
විජේසේකරයන්, ඔහු ගේ සංගීත විද්‍යාලයීය සගයින් වන රෝහණ වීරසිංහයන්, සහ ආනන්ද වීරසිරි යන තිදෙනා එක්ව 1985 දී කලාභුමිය ආරම්භ කල දා පටන් මේ දක්වා ම කලාභුමිය සමග ආත්මීය ව බද්ධ වෙමින් එහි යහ පැවැත්ම උදෙසා ඉටු කරන මෙහෙවර කලාභුමිය මෙනෙහි කරනුයේ ඉතා කෘතඥපූර්වකව ය. කාර්ය බහුලත්වය නිසා රජයේ ගුරු සේවයෙන් සමුගත්තද කලාභුමීයේ දිගටම ඉගැන්වීමේ නියැලෙමින් සංගීත ලැදි සිසුනට ශිල්පදානය දීමේ සත්කාර්යයේ ඔහු අද දක්වා ම නිරත වෙයි.

Kalabhumi founder director and senior resource person Lakshman Wijesekara has launched his own YouTube channel concurrent with the dawn of year 2021.
His daughter, alumna and also honorary advisor of Kalabhumi, Ama Shakya Katipearachchi posting on her FaceBook Page states that the launch of this channel was sonething that was on the cards for a long time.
Wijesekara, a veteran music director, singer, and actor, while serving as a teacher during the late 70s, engaged in music as a super grade singer of the SLBC and as a music composer singing many popular songs like 'ayi tharahin', 'datha depaa lana gigiri sarin', 'oba mata tharuwaki', 'sanda kinithi namee', 'me prema seemaa malake', 'athi de athi satiyen' which attained immense popularity. He performed in the children's musical programme 'gayana' that was aired during the early stages of the SLRC and contributed many beautiful children's songs to the child listeners. He made his mark as an actor in addition to a singer through the teledrama 'Rekha' and displayed his versatility through the direction of music in popular teledramas like 'bumuthurunu', 'mawakage geethaya', and 'swarna thisaraawi'.
Wijesekara, since the inception of Kalabhumi in 1985 along with his colleagues at the music institute, Rohana Weerasinghe and Lakshman Wijesekara contributes to its well being with selfless devotion which Kalabhumi holds in high esteem with deep gratitude. Although he ended his career as a government teacher prematurely in response to the demands of a busy schedule, he continues the meritorious deed of teaching music to students of Kalabhumi to date.
