Mr. Sanath Ajantha Peiris  is a product of “Kalabhumi” and was a distinguished student of its  first batch. He represents the second generation of resource personnel at “Kalabhumi”.

Mr. Peiris had the opportunity of studying under the distinguished guidance of  Rohana Weerasinghe, Lakshman Wijesekara, Ananda Weerasiri and Manjula Seneviratne. 

He benefited immensely from them and went on to obtain the degree of  Visharad in North Indian Classical Music from the Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeit of Lucknow, India.

Mr. Peiris is the teacher in oriental music at St. Benedict's College, Colombo. While being a teacher, Mr. Peiris continues to be a keen student in  music. He is also a talented singer , a composer and an accompanist on Tabla. He makes valuable resource contributions in all creative activities of “Kalabhumi”.
