Mrs. Neranjala Mendis was a student at “Kalabhumi” from her school days and studied under Mr. Rohana Weerasinghe, Mr. Lakshman Wijesekara and Mr. Ananda Weerasiri. She  studied music under Mrs. Manjula Seneviratne and  obtained the  degree of  Visharad in North Indian Classical Music from the Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeit of Lucknow, India. . Later she  obtained the  degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Institute of Aesthetic Studies of the University of Kelaniya

She is a school teacher by profession and serves as a visiting resource person at “kalabhumi” in North Indian Classical Music specialized in its cognitive aspects.

Mrs. Mendis is currently reading for her Post Graduate Studies  in Fine Arts.
